Kukuiula’s progress made the Pacific Business News.  Brent Harrington, president of Kukuiula Development Company, states that he has a very high confidence in Hawaii real estate and that they are taking a 20 year prospective as they consider how to grow the development.  In 2009 the partners, DMB and A&B decided to stay focused on construction even as they cut back on sales and marketing.  Currently they are pressing forward with a $100 million investment in the huge amenity package consisting of a main clubhouse, separate golf clubhouse,, a 25,000 square foot spa and an array of pools, lagoons and man-made beach at the main pool.

Owners have also started to build their dream homes up on the hill and construction on up to 15 cottage will start this year.

For those of you that haven’t been to Kauai for a while, the Kukuiula Village has brought new night life to Kauai with the opening of 2 new dinner  restaurants, Merrimans and Josselins Tapa Bar and Grill.  Both restaurant are fun and the food is delicious.  Many of the lunch places are very popular, including our very first Bubba Burgers.   There is entertainment on weekends.  It is a fun place to be and accessible by car, bike or on foot from anywhere in Poipu.
